Subject: Things to write about/and not to write about on your blogs

Remember you do not need to write about how to set up the services you are looking at, eg a write up of how to setup a twitter account is not actually the purpose of the project.  You need to focus on the topic of how the information is affecting and shaping our lives.

So for example in terms of twitter we should be writing about how to use twitter to post and reply, and read messages, things like trending topics are interesting and important to look at,  and how it is affecting society eg news stories and  your own evaluations of the use of twitter by yourself and others.

I have marked the blogs today, some of you have not posted anything today, or perhaps you posted to an old post, please put the improvements into a new post on the lesson where you are doing it as other wise me and Mr M can't see the latest work as it is merged with the older work.

Can you please repost any edits on the day that you are working with it and then we can see what you have done that day.  This is important as we want to see regular work to your deadlines.

Tasks for setting up blogger

Try out these things on your blog:
Go to Dashboard, Settings, then Design
Then Gadgets
Add a My Bloglist : example blogs to try : macworld.com,  microsoft.com, engadget.com, gizmodo.com
 and
Newsfeed gadget.
Insert any other relevant gadgets that you think may be of use or improve the blog you are making.

In the My Bloglist, add in addresses of 2 other students blogs from the class.
